Denzel Curry Live @ Laneway Festival

Now this man has energy, legging it around the stage running back and forth tirelessly.

He barely stopped moving to allow for photos to be taken. Denzel must just be so fit. I felt intimidated in the way he leant over us to reach the crowd and man that crowd was nuts. You just couldn't take your eyes off him as he performed! This was one artist I could not sing along with at the top of my lung because I would never be able to remember all his lyrics, let alone rap them.

Courtney Barnett Live @ Laneway Festival

Courtney has a fantastic way with words. The way she combines her spoken word with her music she can relay her emotions seamlessly.

I have loved Courtney for years now and have seen her live many times. The first was actually at my first St Jerome Laneway Festival back in (I think) 2016.

It's so cool to see how far she has come from playing one of the earliest slots to now play one of the last sets.

This performance was just as wonderful as all of the previous times. You could say she was a lot more comfortable on stage, using the space to its full potential and not to mention she looked like she was having the time of her life. The joy coming from Courtney filled my heart and made me sing at the top of my lungs (You know how I do).

Parquet Courts Live @ Laneway Festival

Bloody hell, Parquet Courts were so hectic!

If I had to choose my most fun artist that I enjoyed the most (but only a little more than other acts of course), it would have been Parquet Courts.

After I danced and took photos in the pit* for the first three songs, I had to push and elbow my way through the crowd to get to my mates. There I am in the middle of a mosh that is going nuts with everyone dancing their hearts out, with my camera! Torn as I wanted to dance and mosh so bad but at the same time scared shitless that my camera was going to break. Thankfully it did not!

It was a fantastic set. I could not get enough of their bassist running around the stage like a nut, and I loved their guitarist/whistle/pianist's, John Lennon look.
