Tom Lark - Moonlight Hotel Tour + Neive Strang

Tom Lark brought a dreamy folk energy to Neck of the Woods, launching his project Moonlight Hotel with cinematic flair. A fog-filled stage set a playful yet introspective mood, accented by whimsical 1-meter-tall plastic cacti.

Neive Strang’s gentle, atmospheric opening perfectly warmed up the crowd before Lark, joined by James Dansey (drums, harmonica) and James MacDonald (keys), delivered a warm, textured set. Highlights included the atmospheric opener Fuselage, the electronic-infused Dumb Luck, and the upbeat Rock & Roll Baby. MacDonald’s keys added depth, complementing Lark’s heartfelt guitar work.

Mark Perkins (Merk) joined Lark on stage for the closing number, Something to Tell You, ending the night on a high. Subtle, charming, and musically rich—this was a quietly brilliant performance from an artist confidently embracing his musical journey.

My favourite songs performed were Fuselage, Dumb Luck, Live Wires and Something to Tell You.
