Julia Holter and her band joined a small (but intimate) crowed on the 24th at Aucklands Tuning Fork. Performing pieces from her latest album 'Aviary'. Because of events out of my control, I became struck with sudden tiredness after shooting for 15 mins or so. I found a little spot on the ground, closed my eyes and just absorbed the waves of beautiful, eerie sounds. Julia's voice has an impressive range and is so mesmerisingly beautiful I found myself swaying and humming to the songs.
